Zygomatic Implants:

The zygoma implants are inserted into the zygomatic bone (cheekbone) to give support for maxillary teeth (upper jaw teeth), bridges and dentures. The zygoma, which is a very dense bone, provides excellent support for dental implants. Zygomatic implants are intended to replace teeth in the upper jaw. They can be used to replace an entire arch of missing teeth, severely damaged or decayed teeth, or teeth that have become loose due to severe periodontal disease. Zygomatic implants are a treatment option for severely atrophic maxilla. Zygomatic implants can also be used in coordination with traditional dental implants to replace both the upper and lower teeth. This dental technique uses the cheekbone or the zygoma bone to support the longer zygoma implants.
